New Delhi: After premier Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin suffered a side strain during the first ODI between India and South Africa, tweaker Harbhajan Singh was called up to the squad for the rest of the ODI series.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the news via its official Twitter account.

Ashwin suffered the injury when he dove to his right to a save a single off his own bowling and hurt himself. If Ashwin fails to recover in time and misses few matches, then it's going to be a big blow for Team India, as he has been the most consistent bowler of late.
However, it's a blessing in disguise for Turbanator, who will get a chance to prove himself.
According to the press release of BCCI, after making a detailed assessment of the injury, the BCCI medical team will confirm the time frame required for Ashwin to fully recovery from the injury.
