New Delhi: Indian cricketer Gurkeerat Singh Mann was probably taken aback on Friday when he was stopped at the PCA stadium gate in Mohali.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the incident occured in the morning of the second day of the India-SA Test.
Gurkeerat, who was recently called up to India's ODI squad, was along with Mandeep Singh was halted at the gate by the police.
Both Mandeep and Gurkeerat were named as reserve players.
The police told the all-rounder that he would not be allowed entry without proper accreditation or a ticket.
When he failed to convince the police, Punjab cricketer made a phone call to PCA's secretary GS Walia, who came to the gate and made sure Gurkeerat was allowed to enter.
