Johannesburg: South Africa won the New Age Friendship cup by 11 runs as the match was called off due to rain in Johannesburg. Rain halted the game when India had scored 71 runs with openers still in the middle in 7.5 overs. Though, India were behind the par score of 82 as per Duckworth Lewis method by 11 runs.

11: 17 pm 7.5 Over Gambhir on fire as he crashed two consecutive boundaries off Parnell but rain halts play. Par score for India at this stage is 82 and India are 11 runs behind the par score.
11: 09 pm 7th Over Wily Johan Botha into the attack and Uthappa times the cover drive to perfection first ball towards extra cover. Fourth ball, Gambhir executes another precision cut. He rocked back, went deep into the crease and put the ball past point backward point for FOUR!!! IND 61/0

The New Age Friendship cup saw sensational bit of batting from the South Africans on a belter of a pitch at the ‘Bull ring’ Wanderers as the hosts amassed 219 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs against India in the one-off T20 international at Johannesburg.
10: 18 pm 20th Over first ball, short and wide, Ontong one bounce four, second ball Ontong swept and swept with power, SIX!!! towards deep extra cover. Third ball, Ontong missed a straight one, Ontong OUT!!! after scoring a brisk 22 off 7 balls. Fourth ball, another massive SIX!!! by Morkel over long on. Fifth ball, Morkel plays it wide of short fine leg, four runs. Last ball, one bounce four. South Africa reached 219 runs for the loss of four wickets. 26 runs off the over. SA 219/4
10: 15 pm 19th Over Good block hole delivery, but luckily for South Africa it went for four towards third man, then Pathan missed his length slightly in the fourh ball and Ontong drove handsomely towards extra cover for a four. 14 runs off the over. SA 193/3
