  • Rahul Dravid (11957 in 148 Tests) has eclipsed Brian Lara’s tally of 11953 in 131 Tests, moving into the third place behind Sachin Tendulkar (14402) and Ricky Ponting (12332)
  • Tendulkar has become the first batsman to appear in 175 Tests.
  • Virender Sehwag has recorded his 12th duck in Tests - his second against South Africa.
  • Dale Steyn has dismissed Sehwag five times in Test cricket.
  • Ishant Sharma has recorded his first duck against South Africa - his eighth in Tests.
  • Sreesanth has posted his seventh duck in Tests – his third against South Africa.
  • Sachin Tendulkar took his run-aggregate in 2010 to 1432 at an average of 79.55 in 13 Tests - the second highest by an Indian batsman a calendar year, next only to the 1462 (ave.56.23) in 14 Tests by Virender Sehwag in 2008.
  • Morne Morkel, with Rahul Dravid’s wicket, is the 13th South African bowler to capture 100 wickets or more in Tests - 102 at an average of 30.13.
  • Morkel has claimed 40 wickets (ave. 25.57) in 10 Tests in South Africa.
  • Morkel (4/20) has registered his best bowling figures against India, bettering the 3 for 63 at Kanpur in April 2008.
  • Morkel’s figures of 4 for 20 are his second best in South Africa, next only to the 5 for 75 against England at Cape town in January 2010.
  • Harbhajan Singh has made 418 as a batsman at an average of 32.15 in eleven Tests in 2010 - his best batting performance in a calendar year, bettering the 410 (ave.21.57) in 13 Tests in 2008.
  • Harbhajan’s knock of 27 off 25 balls is his second best innings against South Africa - the highest being the 39 at Nagpur in February 2010.
