Bridgetown: Statistical highlights of the fifth and final day`s play in the drawn second Test between India and the West Indies here.

  • Carlton Baugh`s unbeaten 46 off 61 balls is his highest innings in the Caribbean. The knock is his highest against India.
  • Darren Sammy registered his first duck against India - his fourth in Tests.
  • Ishant Sharma (10/108) became the first Indian bowler to claim 10 wickets in a Test in the Caribbean, outstripping Kapil Dev`s figures of 8 for 118 at Kingston in February 1983.
  • With 10 wickets in a match for the first time, Ishant became the fifth Indian bowler to achieve the feat against the West Indies, joining Narendra Hirwani, Bhagwat Chandrasekhar, Kapil Dev and Subhash Gupte.
  • Ishant is the third bowler to bag 10 wickets in a Test match against the West Indies at Bridgetown, joining South Africa`s Andre Nel (10 for 88 in April 2005) and England`s Greville Stevens (10 for 195 in January 1930).
  • Ishant became the seventh Indian fast bowler to capture 10 wickets in a Test match.
  • Ishant`s bowling figures are the best by an Indian fast bowler on foreign soil (excluding Bangladesh and Zimbabwe).
  • Fidel Edwards (5/76) recorded his best bowling figures against India, outstripping the 4 for 56 at Kingston in the present series.
  • Edwards has bagged five wickets or more in an innings nine times in Tests.
  • Edwards` excellent figures are his career-best in a Test match, bettering the 8 for 132 against New Zealand at Napier in December 2008.
  • Edwards` match figures of 8 for 132 are the fourth best by a West Indian bowler against India in Bridgetown, Barbados. Lance Gibbs is the only West Indian bowler to capture nine wickets in a Test match against India at this venue.
  • VVS Laxman (87) posted his best innings at Bridgetown in Tests, bettering the 85 in the first innings of the same Test match.
  • Laxman`s Test tally of 172 (85 & 87) is the second highest by an Indian at Bridgetown. Dilip Sardesai (150 + 24) had made 174 in the 1970-71 Test.
  • Ishant received his first Man of the Match award in Tests.
  • Ishant has taken 16 wickets at 13.62 runs apiece – the most on either side in the present series.
  • Harbhajan Singh is the sixth Indian to complete 50 wickets against West Indies. Kapil Dev is the leading Indian wicket-taker (89) against the West Indies.
  • Virat Kohli (27) recorded his highest Test innings.
  • Kohli is averaging 11.50 in the present series -- 46 in four innings at a strike rate of 26.58.
  • Darren Bravo (73 off 174 balls) posted his highest innings in the Caribbean. It is his second highest in Tests, behind the 80 against Sri Lanka at Colombo (RPS) last year.
  • Bravo`s fifth fifty in Tests is his first against India.
  • West Indies have won seven and drawn the remaining two out of nine played at Bridgetown.
