Brief summary:

So it was routine work for the Chennai Super Kings. They are once again through to an Indian Premier League final, their fifth. The game was played in three phases. The first one had Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina going berserk as they added unbeaten 140 runs for the second wicket. The second one had the brilliant knock of Dwayne Smith (68 from 28) and he at one stage single-handedly took the game away from the Dhoni-led side. Everything from his bat was crossing the ropes. Then came the third phase and the turning point of the match where Jadeja bowled an incredible spell and dismissed Karthik, Smith and Pollard and brought his team back into the game. CSK deserve to be there in the final and they outclassed Mumbai with this comprehensive victory. Mumbai still have a chance and they will have to work hard to make the most of it.

TOSS: MS Dhoni has won the toss and Chennai Super Kings will bat first.

The match is a crucial one for both the teams as the winner will straight away book a berth for the final match to be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on May 26.

Mumbai have a slight advantage over Chennai as they have defeated the Dhoni-led side in both the league matches. Chennai on the other hand are known to bounce back in crucial games and it is expected to be a high-voltage clash between the two teams.

The strength of the Chennai Super Kings is the presence of some outstanding all-rounders. They could probably play Albie Morkel, Dwayne Smith and Ravindra Jadeja to strengthen their batting line-up. Mumbai on the other hand have all the in-form players and their only concern should be the form of Tendulkar who missed the last match due to some injury.
