New Delhi: India discard Yuvraj Singh turned 33 years on Friday. The experienced match-winner has been India's one of the best players in recent years.

Yuvraj is currently playing for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy and batted brilliantly against Haryana after notching 59 and 130 in the two innings. Yuvraj will be hoping to have a good Ranji season and make a comeback to the Indian team post World Cup.

Earlier, Yuvraj has been overlooked by the Indian selectors as he wasn't picked in the 30-man probables for the upcoming ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup. Yuvraj alongside Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan haven't featured much in the Indian side off late and the World Cup snub dealt as a major blow.

Yuvraj has played many match winning knocks throughout his career for India and played a major role in India's 2011 ICC World Cup win and also the 2007 Twenty-20 WC honour. The ICC alongside IPL sides KXIP and Mumbai Indians, cricketer Parthiv Patel and some Bollywood actors wished the player through social micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Yuvraj has played 293 ODIs for India scoring 8231 runs and picking up 111 wickets. He also played 40 Test matches for India scoring 1900 runs.
