An indoor cricket facility at Hec complex in Ranchi, the under-construction international cricket complex of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), will be inaugurated on July 14.

Jamshedpur: An indoor cricket facility at Hec complex in Ranchi, the under-construction international cricket complex of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), will be inaugurated on July 14.
The cricketers will no longer lose out on valuable practise during the monsoon-soaked months of July, August and September, which immediately precede board tournaments as well as Ranji trophy matches, said Rajesh Verma, secretary of JSCA.Shashank Manohar and N Srinivasan, president and secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be present at the function, where Jharkhand Governor M O H Farook will do the inauguration.The complex will eventually comprise an international standard cricket stadium equipped with comprehensive ICC mandated facilities, another cricket ground of international specifications, Verma said. A significant progress has already been made on the site ever since work at the complex commenced about a year ago, he said adding that the complex was likely to be completed next year. The indoor cricket facility was getting final touches before its inauguration on July 14, he said. PTI
