Gibson’s Russian girlfriend an opportunist, says her ex lover

London, May 03: Mel Gibson’s Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has been tagged as an opportunist by her former lover, who claims she has a history of ditching partners to be with more famous ones.Former boyfriend Alan Bergman accused singer Grigorieva, 39, of man hopping and said she abandoned their two-year-old relationship after meeting James Bond actor Timothy Dalton.

"She married this guy and they were living in a council house. She then met me and I was far better off and had more money and had a better life,” the Telegraph quoted Bergman as saying. “She left him and she moved in with me. I didn`t ask her to. At some point she divorced him and I signed some papers. "She then met Timothy Dalton at a party we went to. I was working for Pathé at the time. Within a week, she had moved in with him and I never saw her again. “She was a very lovely girl, but a bit of an opportunist. Many Russian young women are. She came from a tiny town,” he added. Bergman continued: "If she is with Mel, he is more famous than Timothy Dalton and who knows what that will mean. Maybe she will get in to a film and that will thrill her." Meanwhile, Gibson is in the middle of a divorce with his estranged wife of 28 years Robyn, who is also the mum to his seven kids. ANI
