New Delhi: Delhi`s pint-sized wicketkeeper-batsman Puneet Bisht is confident that he will try to keep up his good show in the fifth edition of Indian Premier League which might help him get into India A team.
"I am certainly looking forward to India A team`s tour of West Indies (in July, this year). IPL is a platform where a good performance will be noticed and I have to grab whatever opportunities I get," the 25-year-old who has scored 502 runs apart from taking 21 catches this season said during a media interaction.
Bist, who has been a Delhi regular for the past four seasons hasn`t really been lucky with an IPL contract prior to this season.
"I have had a good Ranji season for Delhi and this stint with the Daredevils will help me improve as a player. I know I will have to wait for my opportunities but I am confident of making full use of whatever chances I get."
He knows that he will have to be an understudy to Naman Ojha who is more explosive as a batsman but the 25-year-old is a far better glovesman than his Madhya Pradesh compatriot.
"I know there will be competition but I am ready to wait for my turn."
For the likes of Manpreet Juneja, Kuldeep Rawal, Pawan Negi, Zafir Patel, IPL will be about soaking any and every information they get from stalwarts like Virender Sehwag, Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen which will only make them better players.
