IPL 2012: Double header today as Chennai take on Punjab and KKR meet RCB

New Delhi: It is a double header in IPL 5 today as defending champions Chennai, low on confidence take on the surprise package Kings XI Punjab led by the inspirational David Hussey at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Punjab and Chennai would be meeting each other for the first time this season. Chennai’s last match was washed out due to rain against RCB and Kings XI Punjab tasted defeat at the hand of Mumbai Indians in a thrilling encounter.

Chennai are comfortably placed at the third spot in the points tally as Punjab, after a sluggish start are languishing at the 8th position after 8 games.

The second fixture of the day would feature Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

When the last time these two teams, met KKR triumphed emphatically defeating RCB by 42 runs.
