It’s a clash of the titans as the Delhi Daredevils take on the Kolkata Knight Riders on their home ground at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi. Many see it as a rehearsal of the final match as both the teams are in supreme form.
While KKR have won five matches in a row, star-studded Delhi Daredevils have won four of their last five outings. Delhi skipper Virender Sehwag is having a dream run in 2012 as he has scored 5 consecutive half-centuries. His counterpart and close friend Gautam Gambhir has also been leading from the front and he had a major role to play in most of Kolkata’s victory. He too has come up with three consecutive fifties leading his side to five successive wins.
KKR are right behind the Daredevils in the points table and they would be looking forward to register a win to become the table-toppers. The Daredevils on the other hand would like to continue their good run and seal another victory in front of the home crowd.
Players to watch out for:
Kolkata Knight Riders: Apart from Gautam Gambhir Jacques Kallis is the man who can handle the pace of Morne Morkel to stabilize the innings. Kallis is well experienced having faced his team-mate several times in the past and his dugout would expect him to use all his experience to settle down the speedster.
Delhi Daredevils: Needless to say, Sehwag would be expected to fire once again but the little dynamite who can single-handedly demolish Kolkata is David Warner who would join the squad replacing Kevin Pietersen who returned back to England for his national duties.
The match will begin at 8:00 pm
