New Delhi: Amid the allegations of molestation against RCB player Luke Pomersbach, Zohal Hamid has revealed the identity of the Indian player who threatened her to drop the case against the Australian.
Describing the player as a ‘skinny Indian guy’, the American revealed that the fellow RCB player tried entering the room along with Pomersbach after the cricketer had beaten her fiancée. The player later approached her at the hospital asking her to withdraw the charges against the Australian.
"I was trying to close the door because I was already very frightened and Sahil was lying inside the room all bloody and beaten up. The skinny Indian guy and Luke tried to open the door while I had to force it shut. The hotel guard was standing outside doing nothing to help me," she was quoted as saying by a leading daily.
"This skinny Indian guy kept following me back and forth, while I was rushing around inside the hospital. I screamed at him, `Leave me alone` but he would not let me go and kept following me. He told me, `Withdraw the case. It`s not going to take you anywhere`, but I rushed away from him. I mentioned this to the police as well but they have not written it in the FIR," she added.
As per the CCTV footage, the cricketer has been identified as KP Appanna. The left-arm spinner from Karnataka has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore during the current IPL season.
