It was one crazy night, says Laxmi Ratan Shukla

It was one crazy night, says Laxmi Ratan ShuklaKolkata: It was a "Knight to remember" for all the KKR players and the experience will last a lifetime.

"It was just crazy. Champagne flowed, shirts torn and dancing through the night. We were so excited," the Bengal all-rounder said about their celebration.

Shah Rukh, who was seen dancing and cartwheeling after their five-wicket triumph over two-time defending champions Chennai Super Kings last night, led the party as the Bollywood superstar did not let anyone catch some sleep.

"He (Shah Rukh) was so excited. All these years he kept on motivating us, even when we lost string of matches. He used to say, keep fighting, we will win someday. Now when the moment came, there was no stopping. He was celebrating on the ground for about one-and-half-hour then he came to the dressing room. The party then shifted to team hotel where we partied whole night," Shukla said.

Shukla said he was excited about the celebrations that would begin with the reception by the state government at the Writer`s Building, here on Tuesday.

"We are very excited about the celebrations and the scenes that will take place in Kolkata. I want to soak in the moment. Our supporters deserve every bit of it as they have been supporting us through the tough times as well."

The 31-year-old said the conditions at the Chepauk were adverse as they did not get any support from the crowd.

"We did not get any support from the Chennai crowd. It`s a different thing that we got extra motivation for that as we thought we were fighting a lonely battle and must win it."

"No one should support (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni when he plays here (Eden Gardens) against us next year. Not only Dhoni, but no team should be cheered here. It should be KKR and only KKR," he added.

Shukla failed to deliver yesterday getting out for three, but his 24 not out in a 56-run undefeated partnership with Yusuf Pathan (40 not out) was instrumental in KKR`s win over Delhi Daredevils and passage to the final.
