IPL 4: Hussey, Raina guide CSK past RR

Chennai: Michael Hussey (79*) was the star in Chennai Super Kings’ easy eight wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in their IPL tie.

Suresh Raina (61) was superb in his approach but could not finish the game as he was done in by Siddharth Trivedi’s guile in the 19th over.

In the first half of the game, a flurry of wickets by the hands of the Chennai bowlers helped in restricting Rajasthan Royals to a total of 147/6 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Rahul Dravid slammed a quick fifty to bolster his team’s chances against Chennai. He was given apt support from fellow opener Shane Watson as the duo maintained a very healthy run-rate with some sparkling shots past the boundary ropes.

Watson could not consolidate on the good work and was caught and bowled by Shadab Jakati at a score of 32 runs.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne won the toss and elected to bat against Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League match.

Rajasthan have brought in left-arm spinner Nayan Doshi, while Chennai are unchanged for the match.
