Good news for RCB fans. Monstrous hitter Chris Gayle is playing in today's match. KXIP are unchanged, whereas, two changes in RCB. Gayle is in, Ravi Rampaul out, while Varun Aaron is replacing Sachin Rana. Within a few minutes from now, the 18th match of Indian Premier League`s seventh edition will kick start, in which Kings XI Punjab will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It`s the only match of the day. After two back-to-back losses, RCB will now face a robust Kings XI Punjab, a side which is still unbeaten in this edition of the League. It would be an interesting contest as both the teams have some big hitters in their ranks. But RCB have so far played without their monstrous West Indian opener, Chris Gayle, who is nursing a sore back. In the last match against Rajasthan Royals, RCB`s batting line-up collapsed when they came to bat first and later in the match RR chased the paltry total of 70 runs quite comprehensively. RCB`s batting line up is their strength and they have to focus on that. Yuvraj Singh who has been bought by franchise at a whooping sum of 14 crores, this season, has been scoring decently but the pace of his scoring remains a major concern for the franchise. It would certainly be a difficult task for the RCB to beat KXIP team in today`s encounter, who have batsmen like Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Virender Sehwag and George Bailey in their side. Most importantly, the form Maxwell and Miller are in, it wouldn`t be easy for RCB bowlers to contain them. In fact, in the last match against KKR, it was Punjab`s bowlers who won it for their franchise. It proves that KXIP are a well balanced team. It`s still not clear if Gayle will play in today`s match or not, but if he plays in the match, then it would certainly give the Bangalore franchise a real boost. Though there is still no confirmation about it.
