Mumbai Indians are on a run of three successive victories and they face a big task of winning the match by a big margin when they take on rusty Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede stadium in an IPL match within few minutes from now, in the second encounter of the day.
Both the teams have a chance of filling the fourth spot for the play-offs. Rajasthan are on 14 points, two above Mumbai. The hosts have to win the game and win big to pip RR on net run-rate. If MI chase they will be given a stipulated number of overs to achieve their target. On batting start they have to beat RR by a given number of runs. In this do or die situation MI will give their everything.
The last time these two teams met, MI won the game comfortably by 25 runs. Rohit Sharma, Keiron Pollard and Ambati Rayudu have been good with the bat. The opening pair of Michael Hussey and Lendl Simmons will hope to give their team a good start. The bowling is looking better too for them.
Royals meanwhile have lost two games on the trot and will not let MI complete the double over them. Royals will eye nothing but a win to ensure a passage safely.
