Dubai: Australian all-rounder James Faulkner made his birthday memorable, as he picked three wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 19th match of IPL 7. Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma`s birthday didn`t bring much luck to him as his side lost its fifth consecutive match.

Mumbai Indians, who won the previous edition`s final by defeating Chennai Super Kings, lost their fifth match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Rohit Sharma-led side had been in stupendous form last year, where they also won the Champions League Twenty20 after winning their maiden IPL title.

But this year, Mumbai Indians have had a forgettable time, as they are the only side without a win in the tournament. Rohit, who turned 27 on Wednesday, could score just one run before being bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

A star-studded team which comprises of players like Kieron Pollard, Corey Anderson, Lasith Malinga and Rohit himself, is struggling to find its momentum. The batting hasn`t clicked and the failure of Michael Hussey at the top of the order has been a major concern for the team management.

How bad has been the batsmen`s form can be ascertained from the fact that from five outings, only Kieron Pollard and Rohit have managed to hit half-centuries. The think tank tried experimenting with the batting order, but nothing seems to work for the Mumbai Indians at the moment.

Even though they managed to show some fight against the Sunrisers, Mumbai need a collective performance – something which has eluded them right throughout the series.
