Police today claimed to have busted yet another cricket betting racket with the arrest of two alleged bookies taking bets on an IPL cricket match.

Mumbai: Police today claimed to have busted yet another cricket betting racket with the arrest of two alleged bookies taking bets on an IPL cricket match.
The accused, identified as Kantilal Shah (48) and Mohammed Ibrahim (51), were arrested while taking bets for the match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils played in Delhi yesterday, a crime branch official told PTI. Acting on a tip off, a raid was conducted at an Ice Cream Parlour in Sai Darshan House building in suburban Borivali at 10.30 PM when the duo was found accepting bets for the match, the official said. The two were subsequently nabbed and a laptop, a television, five mobile phones and cash of Rs 53,650 were recovered from them, according to police. About ten days ago, Mumbai police`s crime branch had arrested three alleged bookies while taking bets at a flat in Khan Towers of Jogeshwari suburb for the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils played at Wankhede Stadium here.
