IPL organisers yet to pay Maharashtra govt for security

Mumbai: Maharashtra Government has said that management of Indian Premier League (IPL) is yet to pay dues for the security provided by the Navi Mumbai police for the matches held at the D Y Patil stadium here last year.

In a written reply to a question asked by Bala Nandgaonkar (MNS) and others, Home Minister R R Patil said that out of the total amount of Rs 5.65 crore, IPL has paid only Rs 47.53 lakh.

"We are pursuing the matter with the IPL management," Patil said.
