DDCA factions at loggerheads over IPL passes

New Delhi: Tension and heated arguments dominated proceedings at the faction-ridden Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) on Wednesday over distribution of 10,000 complimentary IPL passes for its members.

With new sub-committees being formed for IPL matches, members from all three factions in DDCA - CK Khanna group, Sneh Bansal group and ruling Chetan Chauhan group found berth in coveted sub-committees.

Trouble started in the evening when the Bansal faction officials, sidelined till World T20 came to collect their share of complementaries and heated argument started in Chauhan's room.

"Chetan Chauhan in his own capacity had requisitioned for 10,000 tickets in which they are giving us only 2000 tickets," a Bansal group official told PTI.

Chauhan when asked refuted the allegations and said: "Tickets will be equally distributed among executive committee members as per Justice Mukul Mudgal's instructions."

Treasurer Ravinder Manchanda said: "We are working out on a feasible number of complementaries acceptable to all."

The inclusion of Dinesh Saini and Sunil Jain from the anti faction has also irked the members.

"They are in ticketing committee but we have to check what is their role," Manchanda said.
