Frustrated Kings XI Punjab pacer Shardul Thakur mocks IPL in a tweet, then deletes it

New Delhi: Over the years, pacer Shardul Thakur has been a star performer for Mumbai in domestic cricket.

The 24-year-old was in fact one of the main reasons behind Mumbai's recent Ranji Trophy triumph.

At Kings XI Punjab however, Thakur has not been able to make it to the playing XI this term.

Like any other player who harbors ambitions of playing for the country, a spell on the sidelines can be extremely frustrating.

Thakur probably encountered the same feeling, as he took to social micro-blogging site Twitter to vent out his anger at not playing a single match for the Punjab franchise.

“Will play a semifinal t20 game tomorrow for my club payyade sc..playing a game after 2 months..ipl has done wonders .. Certainly,” Thakur tweeted on Saturday.

He then went on to delete his post.

Representing Mumbai CA XI, the right-arm pacer picked up two wickets against England and one against South Africa during WT20 warm-up matches.

In 37 first-class matches, he has bagged 137 wickets at an average of 27.53.
