Indian Premier League 2016: Apple CEO Tim Cook 'hooked' to cricket

New Delhi: Apple Inc CEO Tim Cook, who watched the Indian Premier League match between Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders in Kanpur on Thursday, said that he's "hooked" to it.

The 55-year-old American technocrat, who witnessed his first ever cricket match and during the innings break at Green Park, spoke to renowned commentator Alan Wilkins.

“This is incredibly exciting, it’s my first cricket game. I’m hooked to it! The talent here in India is huge. We want to tap into the iOS ecosystem,” Cook said.

Cook attended the match on invitation from IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla.

“I had personally invited Cook to watch an IPL match and I am glad that he has accepted my invitation,” Shukla told PTI on Thursday.

Lions won the match by six wickets.

The Apple CEO is on a four-day visit to India where he is expected to meet a host of political leaders, industrialists and top celebrities.
