Indian Premier League 2016, Match 50: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab – Players to watch out for

New Delhi: In the 50th match of IPL 9, the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with Kings XI Punjab today at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

It's a crucial match for RCB, while wooden-spooners KXIP will play for pride as they are already out of the play-off race after losing eight out of their first twelve games.

Interestingly, the battle expected in the match is between Bangalore batsmen vs Punjab bowlers.

RCB have to continue their winning momentum in the match to keep floating in the tournament.

Here is the list of players who are expected to leave an impact in the game.

Virat Kohli: Though injured, Kohli would like to continue his superb form in yet another crucial match. Bowlers are still struggling to find a way to keep Kohli silent. With 752 runs under his belt this season, KXIP bowlers have no other option but to pray before the match.

Axar Patel: Even after a below par performance by KXIP, one bowler who impressed many is certainly the left-arm-spinner. He has scalped 11 wickets thus far and proved economical in almost all the matches he played this season. Who knows, he might give the intimidating batting line of RCB a tough time in the middle.

Chris Gayle: With a 49-run knock against KKR in the last game, the West Indian has returned back to form. His bat was silent during the season, but the way he hit 49 off 38 balls, laced with five boundaries and four sixes, KXIP bowlers will face an acid test against RCB in today's tie.

Murali Vijay: The skipper of KXIP has played some outstanding knocks in the ongoing season. But as they would play for pride in the match against Bangalore, Vijay has to set the tone at the top to lead his side by examples.
