IPL 2015, Match 31, DD vs KXIP: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: Hosts Delhi Daredevils will face last placed Kings XI Punjab in Match 31 of the tournament. Delhi have won just three games from seven matches and will need to get a home win in order to increase their chances to progress to the next round.

Meanwhile, KXIP have been dismal so far winning two and losing five games so far.

DD come from a terrible loss against the RCB where they faltered in all three departments. KXIP also come to this game after losing against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

A win for JP Duminy's side will help them climb up to fourth position on the points table. For George Bailey, picking up the two points will be something of a miracle given their performances so far. They need a run of games in winning and a victory on Friday could be a start of that.

As two IPL sides clash who are in a desperate situation for a victory, we highlight a key player from each side who could help his side emerge victorious at the Ferozeshah Kotla.

JP Duminy (DD)

JP Duminy have been the best player for Delhi so far alongside Imran Tahir. The South African who is the skipper of the team, has scored 220 runs in 7 matches. He has also picked seven wickets to prove he is handy for the team as a spinner. Duminy will be eager to lead the team well and hope to perform in a way to contribute largely for the side. In the last game the entire side folded for just 95 runs and Duminy will be hoping to forget that day quickly and score some runs today and expect that from his team too.

Sandeep Sharma (KXIP)

The youngster has notched up nine wickets so far and has bowled well. Alongside Anureet Singh, the 21-year-old has bowled well as a combo. Against Delhi, Sandeep will look to exploit the situations well at the Kotla and get some important wickets upfront. KXIP have been poor in the batting and fielding department and will rely on their bowlers once again to do a good job. Sandeep was instrumental for KXIP last season when the side finished as runners-up and the player will look to continue with the good form he has been in.
