IPL 2015, Match 49, DD vs CSK: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: In the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), beleaguered Delhi Daredevils (DD) face table toppers Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday at Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

There is striking difference in the performances of both the teams this season. Where MS Dhoni-led Chennai have virtually sealed the play-off spot with eight wins in 12 games, DD are already out of contention, after losing eight of their 12 games.

CSK have played like a unit thus far and have once again emerged as strong title contenders.

However, new-look DD struggled in all departments and kept losing matches at regular intervals. Their marquee player Yuvraj Singh came out as the biggest disappointment, who flopped badly with bat and ball.

JP Duminy-led DD can take heart from the fact that the return of speedster Zaheer Khan has provided the team much-needed depth in the bowling line up.

On paper Chennai are certainly the clean favourites, but DD, who have nothing to lose, might give Dhoni &Co a tough fight.

Players who might play a key role in today's encounter

Dwayne Bravo: The West Indian has been an integral part of CSK for quite a few editions now. The all-rounder has proved his worth many a times in the past. And this season is no different for the Trinidad born cricketer. He has been outstanding with the ball so far. The 31-year-old is Dhoni's go-to man and is the leading wicket taker with 19 wickets in 12 matches. Though he hasn't got much opportunity to bat this season, but whenever he got one, he proved his worth with the willow. In fact, he has been spectacular in the field as well. A true entertainer, Bravo, will once again be the key player for his side in today's encounter.

Shreyas Iyer: The opener has certainly been the find of this season. The youngster played some superb knocks for his Delhi franchise to prove his credentials. The 20-year-old has amassed 302 runs in ten innings, with three half-centuries and a knock of 40 against KKR. His consistency with the bat is quite impressive. In fact, his fearless attitude and ability to clear the fence with ease make him a dangerous T-20 player. Against CSK, he has a golden opportunity to impress the Indian ODI skipper Dhoni.
