New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad hold their nerves to win the match in last over by six runs at Raipur. A 91-run partnership between Kedar Jadhav and Saurabh Tiwary almost won the match for Delhi, but the experienced Ishant Sharma did the job for Hyderabad. With that Delhi Daredevils are out.

Delhi Daredevils innings, target 164

Over 20 || 157/4 (Yadhav 63; Tiwary 26)

What a last over. Ishant Sharma ran in with a straight delivery, but Saurabh Tiwary hit back for a straight four, to make the equation 12 from five. A single followed giving the strike to Kedar Jadhav, who hoisted from an awkward position for a double with a run-out chance to the fielding chance. Then, Praveen Kumar dived to restrict a possible four to a single. Then, Tiwary took a single, which left Delhi requiring six off the final ball for a Super Over. But... Ishant Sharma did the job for Hyderabad. A dot ball to win the match by six runs and keep play-off hopes alive.

Over 19 || 148/4 (Yadhav 60; Tiwary 20)

Over 11 || 66/4 (Yadhav 1; Tiwary 0)

Two wickets in two overs for impressive Karn Sharma. He has taken the sting out of Delhi chase. This time the spinner has got rid of Delhi skipper Jean-Paul Duminy with a lucky ball. The bails got dislogded from a faint clip.

Saurabh Tiwary joined Kedar Jadhav in the centre. Delhi now need 98 runs from 54 balls.

Over 10 || 65/3 (Duminy 12; Yadhav 0)

Kedar Jadhav is the new man.

Over 9 || 62/2 (Duminy 10; Yuvraj 1)

Delhi need 108 runs from 13 overs.

Over 6 || 49/1 (de Kock 43; Duminy 5)

De Kock continued with his hitting. This time Ishant Sharma endured the wrath of the left-hander. Duminy took a single off the first delivery, then de Kock pulled handsomely for his seven four. Ishant reponded with two good deliveries hitting the right line and lenght. But the over ended with a four and six off successive deliveries, all to de Kock. 15 runs from the over.

Over 5 || 34/1 (de Kock 29; Duminy 4)

Expensive first over from Praveen Kumar. The fifth over of the innings started with a leg bye, then Quinton de Kock hit back-to-back fours, then another four after a dot ball. De Kock, who played for Hyderabad last season with limited success, is taking on his previous team. 13 runs from the over and Delhi need another 130 runs from 90 balls.

Over 4 || 21/1 (de Kock 17; Duminy 4)

Hyderabad skipper David Warner introduced Parvez Rasool into the attack. And the off-break bowler responded with a good first over. Six runs from it -- two doubles and two singles.

Delhi now need 143 more runs from 96 balls.

Over 3 || 15/1 (de Kock 14; Duminy 1)

Over 2 || 13/0 (de Kock 13; Iyer 0)

Ishant Sharma shared the new ball with Bhuvi. The lanky pace bowler from Delhi started with a dot ball, but de Kock hit him for a four through the point area again. Ishant responded strongly, two dot balls with ball getting enough swing to put the batsman in a spot of bother. Then the South African hit another four to end the over, this time off a mistimed hit over the cover.

Delhi now need 151 runs from 18 overs.

Over 1 || 5/0 (de Kock 5; Iyer 0)

Over 20 || 163/4 (Henriques 74; Bopara 17)

Zaheer Khan started the final over brilliantly with a couple of slower deliveries. Henriques hit the third delivery for a straight six off the back-foot. But the experienced Zaheer responded well to complete his spell with four more runs -- a double and two singles.

Over 19 || 152/4 (Henriques 65; Bopara 15)

Ravi Bopara started the penultimate over with a four at the long-off boundary. Morkel responded with a lower delivery, resulting in a double. Henriques then finished the over with two successive sixes over the mid-wicket boundary. Biggest over of the match, 21 runs. Suddenly, a good total in sight for Hyderabad.

Over 18 || 131/4 (Henriques 51; Bopara 8)

Brave call from JP Duminy to introduce himself into the attack. But the skipper has done exceptionally well, giving away nine runs. He started with a dot ball to Henriques, then the Australian took a double, two singles followed, before he returned to strike for another double. A wide from Duminy and third double from the over. With that Henriques reached his fifty. Good innings on this tricky top.

Over 17 || 122/4 (Henriques 44; Bopara 7)

Then Delhi responded with a tidy spell from Morkel. The South African conceded eight runs -- two doubles and four singles.

In between, Henriques has quietly crossed into the forties. How well he finish the innings will decide Hyderabad's fate today and also their play-off chances.

Over 16 || 114/4 (Henriques 40; Bopara 3)

Some initiative from Hyderabad batsmen. Newly arrived Ravi Bopara started with a double and a single, then Henriques launched the third delivery into the orbit, for a huge six over the mid-wicket boundary. Three doubles followed for the batting team. 15 runs added from Amit Mishra's third over.

Over 15 || 99/4 (Henriques 28; Bopara 0)

After a long long time, Moises Henriques pulled one for a four to the mid-wicket boundary off the second ball of the 15th over. Nathan Coulter-Nile responded with shorted ball, which resulted in a single. Combined with some good fielding, Delhi bowlers are so far successful in keeping Hyderabad batsmen in check.

Coulter-Nile completed his quota of four overs with a wicket, that of Karn Sharma who tried to pull but ended up offering a catch at point.

WICKET: Karn Sharma c Jayant Yadav b Nathan Coulter-Nile 16 (13b)

Over 14 || 92/3 (Henriques 22; Sharma 15)

Karn Sharma has played some controlled shots in the over. JP Duminy brought in Albie Morkel in the 14th over and Karn welcomed him with a double, a chip shot over the covers. A single, then a dot ball to Henriques, before the Aussie all-rounder took a double off the fourth delivery. Morkel conceded a single more before completing the over with a dot to Karn Sharma.

Over 13 || 86/3 (Henriques 19; Sharma 13)

Over 12 || 79/3 (Henriques 18; Sharma 7)

Karn Sharma brought in some purpose to the Hyderabad batting, it seems. The 27-year-old all-rounder started his innings with a double off Amit Mishra, then found a boundary off the very next delivery -- through the leg side -- then a single gave some strike to Henriques. The Australian took double off the fourth delivery then hit a sumptuous six over deep mid-wicket boundary. 15 runs from the over.

Over 11 || 62/3 (Henriques 10; Sharma 0)

Persistence paid for Jayant Yadav. He kept probing and returned with the wicket of Eoin Morgan. After two singles and dot, Morgan tried to loft over the long-off boundary, but Nathan Coulter-Nile covered some distance before taking a diving catch.

Karn Sharma joined Henriques. Only two runs from the over. Yadav's figure read: 4-0-19-1.

Over 10 || 62/2 (Henriques 9; Morgan 21)

After the first technical time-out, Amit Mishra resumed the proceedings with his leg-break. One run off the first ball, with Morgan playing from the pads. Henriques followed it up with another single. Then a dot ball to Morgan. It was followed by a couple of singles. Five runs from Mishra's first over.

Over 9 || 57/2 (Henriques 7; Morgan 18)

Jayant Yadav is growing in confidence. The 25-year-old from Delhi gave away only three runs in this over. In his three overs, he has leaked 17 runs and kept the Hyderabad batsmen in check.

Over 8 || 54/2 (Henriques 5; Morgan 17)

Delhi skipper Jean-Pual Duminy introduced himself into the attack. The South African started with two singles, then conceded a four to Morgan, who reverse-swept, then a single more from the over.

Over 7 || 47/2 (Henriques 4; Morgan 11)

Jayant Yadav returned to spell a tidy over. The young spinner conceded six runs, four singles and a double. For the batting side, Eoin Morgan is playing well. He will need to stay there for some time if Hyderabad are to post a good total.

Over 6 || 41/2 (Henriques 2; Morgan 7)

Zaheer Khan continued for his third over and conceded nine runs. He started with four singles and a wide, but a bad delivery off the last delivery spoiled the over. Eoin Morgan flicked over midwicket after Zaheer missed the line.

Over 5 || 34/2 (Henriques 0; Morgan 1)

Nathan Coulter-Nile got the prized wicket of David Warner off the very first delivery of his second over. Warner failed to get the elevation and ended up offering a catch to Saurabh Tiwary at mid-wicket.

WICKET: David Warner c Saurabh Tiwary b Nathan Coulter-Nile 17 (15b)

Eoin Morgan, who played a match winning knock in the last match, joined Henriques. And soon Coulter-Nile tested him with some brilliant deliveries. Excellent spell from the Australian. Only one run and that big wicket from the over.

Over 4 || 31/1 (Warner 17; Henriques 0)

Zaheer continued. A dot ball, then short-fine fielder was in play. The fielder missed a jumping attempt to catch as Dhawan flicked with enough power to carry the ball for a four. But after two dot balls, Zaheer got the wicket of Dhawan. The Delhi batsman offered to Albie Morkel at mid-wicket.

WICKET: Shikhar Dhawan c Albie Morkel b Zaheer Khan 13 (10b)

Moises Henriques joined his skipper at the centre. Zaheer completed the over with a wide and a single.

Over 3 || 25/0 (Dhawan 9; Warner 16)

Jean-Paul Duminy introduced Nathan Coulter-Nile. The Australian started pretty well with two dot balls, but from the third, Warner connected the bouncer for a six over the fine leg boundary. After a dot ball, Warner took a single. Coulter-Nile almost got the wicket of Dhawan, who lofted the fifth delivery through the cover. But ended up conceding three runs. 10 runs from the over.

Over 2 || 15/0 (Dhawan 6; Warner 9)

Zaheer shared the new ball with Jayant Yadav, and the experienced pro got into the rhythm right from the beginning with thee dots to Warner. But off the fourth delivery, Warner on his toes timed the delivery through the covers for three runs. Then, Dhawan hooked the next delivery for a four to the fine-leg boundary , which almost went the distance. Zaheer did well to finish the over with a dot ball.

Over 1 || 8/0 (Dhawan 2; Warner 6)

Surprise from Delhi. Started with off-break bowler Jayant Yadav. Shikha Dhawan pushed the first delivery through the covers for a single. Two singles followed, then a dot ball to David Warner. Sunrisers Hyderabad kept themselves in the play-off fray by pulling off a seven-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. They have blown hot and cold right through the tournament and are currently placed at the sixth position in the points table.

For Delhi Daredevils, their campaign has simply faded away after a promising start. The Delhi outfit slumped to its seventh loss of the season – second on the trot – last night and the JP Duminy-led side is more or less out of the Play-offs contention.
