New Delhi: During a match, not often do we use the word 'marauder' when Chris Gayle is back in the hut after scoring just 6 runs. But in Match 44 of IPL 2016, the word was consistently used for two prolific batsmen – Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers – who tore apart Gujarat Lions' bowling attack into bits and pieces with remarkable centuries.

The two maverick right-handers stitched an incredible 229-run stand for the second wicket, which made life miserable for the statisticians, as numerous records were shattered at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

As RCB take on Kolkata Knight Riders today, keeping in mind the form of these two batsmen, the question in everybody's mind is – Will KKR bowlers witness something similar or will they restrict RCB to a decent total?

The advantage which Gautam Gambhir has, is that they will be hosting RCB at Eden Gardens. Considering the size of the ground and also the spinners at Gambhir's disposal, it would be an interesting contest.

In Piyush Chawla, Sunil Narine, Brad Hogg and Shakib-al-Hasan KKR possibly have the best spin attack in the business.

But in Kohli, de Villiers, Watson and Gayle, RCB too have the best batting line-up. While Gayle and Watson are yet to fire with the bat this season, Kohli and AB have plenty of runs under their belts.

It remains to be seen whether Eden Gardens will witness yet another run fest or will KKR's spinners dominate the proceedings.
