IPL 2016: Not Virat Kohli but this player has impressed Sourav Ganguly the most!

New Delhi: Ninth edition of the Indian Premier League is now approaching its business ends.

Two teams that have taken fans by surprise are Delhi Daredevils and SunRisers Hyderabad.

The good form of these two teams has made the league more exciting and forced the heavyweights to up their game.

So how has been the most impressive player in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich league?

According to former India captain and Cricket Association of Bengal boss Sourav Ganguly, that honor belongs to Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.

“Rohit Sharma has impressed me the most. He has taken the team on his shoulders single-handedly,” Dada said in an interview to India Today television.

The stylish right-hander has hit five fifties in nine matches and showcased astute leadership.

After poor performances in the initial half of the tournament, the defending champions appear to be peaking at the right time.

Commenting on RCB skipper Virat Kohli, Ganguly felt that he was being let down by the bowling unit.

“Kohli is a class act. With his ability he plays up the order. He has done exceptionally well. The bowling has let him down. Last game against Knight Riders they were cruising and to see him losing them from there is unreal. He has to find a way to make a comeback. It’s not going to be easy for him. He has lost a lot of games. Both Pune and Bangalore have to win all their remaining games.”
