Kevin Pietersen hails IPL as 'one of the greatest sports shows on earth'

New Delhi: Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, who is known for his love for the Indian Premier League (IPL), has once again hailed the cash-rich tournament as one of the greatest sports shows on earth.

KP took to social micro-blogging site to express his views.

Pietersen was earlier released by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the entire first phase of the IPL 2015. He may still be recalled by the Sunrisers for just a one-week period, only if they manage to qualify for the IPL knockout stages between May 19 and May 24.

Last year, Pietersen led the Delhi Daredevils, but was released by the franchise after they ended at the bottom of the points table.

Pietersen, who was sacked by ECB post England's whitewash in Ashes against Australia in February 2014, has joined Surrey with the aim of earning a place in the England squad for the upcoming Ashes series.
