KKR vs RCB: Virat Kohli breaks Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Chris Gayle's IPL batting record

New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli on Monday played yet another scintillating knock to guide his team to a nine-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.

The stylish right-hander scored an unbeaten 75 off 51 balls with five fours and three sixes.

The 27-year-old not only furthered strengthened his grip on the Orange Cup but also shattered another batting record.

Kohli went past his RCB teammate Chris Gayle's record of scoring the most runs in a single IPL season.

The Delhi batsman has so far accumulated 752 runs in 12 outings, beating the West Indian's total of 733.
