SHOCKING! MS Dhoni's Ranchi swimming pool consumes 15k litres daily despite water crisis in region, claim neighbors

New Delhi: April has been a forgettable month for superstar cricketer MS Dhoni on and off the pitch.

After the Men in Blue failed to win the ICC WT20, Dhoni's Rising Pune continue to struggle in the Indian Premier League.

Also, Mahi had to step down as brand ambassador of Amrapali Group due to a social media campaign against the realty giant by unhappy flat buyers.

Now the 34-year-old finds himself in the middle of another problem after his neighbors have accused him of wasting water during a drought-like situation in Jharkhand.

According to a report on India Today, residents have accused Dhoni of using 15,000 litres of water everyday to refill the pool of his Ranchi home despite the locals facing shortage.

"We have four borewells but they do not work. But right next to our house is Dhoni's house where thousands of litres are being wasted daily. The authorities must look into it," says Raju Sharma, a neighbour, told India Today.

The matter was also brought to the notice of state's revenue minister Amar Bauri, who has promised action.

Locals also raised the issue of no water arrangements being made for 5,000 people based in Yamunanagar, while 15,000 litres was being used by Dhoni.

An advisor of Dhoni in Ranchi has refuted these allegations. According to him, the pool in only refilled when Dhoni is in town and not throughout the year.
