Want to play for India again, share good rapport with Dhoni, says Yuvraj

New Delhi: Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh will hope to make his stint with Delhi Daredevils a successful one as season 8 of Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off from Thursday.

Yuvraj stated on Thursday that he is looking forward to play for India again and that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is still a good friend of his. He said this to a leading english news channel.

Last week Delhi's coach Gary Kirsten praised Yuvraj and said the latter was motivated more than ever to perform in the IPL.

Earlier, a lot had been said with regards to Yuvraj's relation with Dhoni after the southpaw was ignored for the recently concluded ICC 2015 World Cup.

On February 17, Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh had lashed out at Dhoni for his son's exclusion.

"If MS Dhoni is having personal issues with my son, I won't do anything. God will do justice," Yograj had said.

Yuvraj then defended his father's statement and said that his father got carried away with him not playing the World Cup and he always enjoyed playing under MS Dhoni.

As the cash-rich tournament enters its 8th edition, Yuvraj leads the list of hopefuls who are eyeing a comeback to the Indian cricket team and a good outing for Delhi is all that he needs now.
