Watching IPL final on TV was more stressful than playing: SunRisers Hyderabad's Ashish Nehra

New Delhi: SunRisers Hyderabad's premier bowler, Ashish Nehra, who was ruled out of the ninth edition mid-season due to injury, watched the final on TV at his in-laws’ house in London.

After the IPL final, played between SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challenges Bangalore, Nehra admitted that he was very nervous while watching the summit clash on TV.

Nehra, who is recuperating in London after surgery to his right knee, watched the final encounter with his wife Rushma and children Arush and Ariana.

The 37-year-old was quoted as saying, “I was positive throughout that we will win. I really missed being in Bangalore, but I’m happy that the boys managed to pull off a great win.

“Watching the final (on TV) was very stressful. I’m less nervous when I am playing.”

In the first half of the cash-rich tournament, Nehra played a crucial role for Hyderabad and made sure that they seal a spot in the play-offs.
