It went wrong with the bat: Dilshan

Bulawayo: Having tasted defeat in his first match as Sri Lankan captain, Tillakaratne Dilshan rued missed ‘half-chances’ for his team’s crushing 7-wicket loss at the hands of India in the league match of the Micromax Cup here at Bulawayo on Sunday.

“We had to bowl in the right areas, we needed to take half chances because we had only 240,” he said.

He also appeared unsatisfied with his sides batting performance.

“It went wrong with the bat, couple of run-outs and then untimely wickets,” he explained.

“I tried to bring the fielders up to prevent easy singles, but there was nothing in the wicket."
