Jason Holder gets one-match suspension for slow over rate

Johannesburg: West Indies captain Jason Holder has been given a one-match suspension for maintaining a slow over rate for the second time in the year, the International Cricket Council has said.

The decision was taken after West Indies fell two overs short of the target during their one-wicket defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the opening ODI in Colombo.

In addition to the suspension, Holder was fined 40 percent of his match fee while his team mates received 20 per cent fines, Sport24 reported.

Holder was found guilty of the same offence against South Africa earlier in January.
