Jayawardene became the third Sri Lankan after Aravinda de Silva and Sanath Jayasuriya and 13th overall to complete 9000 runs in ODIs.
Jayawardene has taken 307 innings to record the feat - the most taken by any batsman.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (67) has posted his highest innings (third fifty) in a final.
Dhoni`s aforesaid knock is his 37th fifty in ODIs – his 13th against Sri Lanka.
In the course of his 67 off 100 balls, Dhoni has completed his 3000 runs in day/night games, aggregating 3043 runs at an average of 48.30 in 96 matches. His runs` tally includes five centuries and 19 fifties.
Virender Sehwag is the top run-scorer in the just concluded competition, aggregating 268 in five matches at an average of 67.00.
Sehwag has received the Player of the series award - his first in Limited-Overs Internationals. For the first time, he has got the Player of the series awards in the same season in Sri Lanka in Tests as well as ODIs.
Suraj Randiv (3/40) has recorded his best bowling performance against India, eclipsing the 3 for 51 at Nagpur on December 18, 2009.
Randiv`s aforesaid bowling figures are his best in Sri Lanka.
Praveen Kumar, with 9 wickets at 23.66, is the top wicket-taker in the just concluded tournament.
Praveen`s aforesaid performance is his second best, next only to the 10 (ave. 17.50) in four matches in the Commonwealth Bank series in 2007-08.
Tillakaratne Dilshan has got his fourth MOM award against India - his tenth in 2010.
Dilshan has received four Man of the Match awards this year. He has got two at Dambulla - one each against Bangladesh and India.
Sri Lanka`s 74-run victory is their 50th in 128 matches against India - success percentage of of 42.73 (Lost 67 and NR 11).
