St Kitts: Jacques Kallis moved to within a run of his 35th test century as South Africa continued to punish the West Indies` bowling on the second day of the second test on Saturday.
At lunch, South Africa were 398 for three with AB de Villiers a run short of his half-century.
The pair added 102 runs in the session with Kallis striking 10 fours and a six from his 203 balls. De Villiers scored 42 runs in the session with seven boundaries and a six.
The West Indies` bowlers continued to toil without success as both batsmen thumped boundaries on either side of the pitch.
Play began 15 minutes late because of rain.
