Kallis says Test series against England will come down to key moments

Johannesburg: Proteas all rounder Jacques Kallis has said the result of the Test series between South Africa and England will come down to key moments.
Both sides feature crucial game-changers with both bat and ball, and have been closely matched leading up to the series, which starts at The Oval on Thursday. “These are two good attacks, as good as there are in world cricket at the moment. It will be an interesting battle to see which attack comes out on top and both sides have got good batters as well. It will be a closely fought series, and it will depend on the key moments and which team plays them better,” said Kallis. The Proteas are wrapping up their final preparations after two warm-up matches and tough physical training, and are thoroughly prepared for that first ball on Thursday. “It`s always a tough tour to come and win here. You have to play some good cricket and respect England for being a good side. We have some fond memories of our last tour here. We were a good side, but we just want to play some good cricket and let the results take care of themselves. We need to control our processes and what we do,” he said. Kallis is not disturbed by his patchy record in the United Kingdom, and emphasised the importance of putting the team first. He said: “I`m not one who worries too much about what happened on the last tour, or in the previous innings. Every time you bat you start with nought behind your name, it`s not like Formula 1 where you get pole position.” “That is the way that I have approached my career. It will be nice if I have a good tour here, but if I have a bad tour and we win, I`ll take that, hands down.” ANI
