Mumbai: Look who wants to kiss Vidya Balan now! Veteran Naseeruddin Shah, who recently turned 59, has expressed his disappointment of not getting the chance to kiss Vidya Balan in new film, while Arshad Warsi walked away with the cake. The actor is playing a challenging role in ‘Ishqiya’, touted to be a remake of ‘The Sundance Kid’ (1969). The actor plays a role similar to Newman while Arshad is Redford’s character in the film. Both fall in love with Vidya and the lady doesn’t know whom she really loves.
But the actor regrets not getting to kiss Vidya while Arshad has a kissing scene with her. “They kept it hidden from me because I would have insisted on one, too,” he laughed.
Talking about the film, Naseer said, “Ishqiya’s the story of two rogues and a charming widow, like Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid in spirit, both of us playing lovable rogues.”
“As an actor I’ve tried never to look anxiously at the box office. I was delighted when A Wednesday made such an impact. But I never held my breath for it. Whenever I’ve calculated box office results I’ve failed miserably,” Naseer added.
