KP, Anderson, Swann rested from ODI series to prepare for 2015 World Cup

Johannesburg: England has decided to rest Test regulars Kevin Pietersen, James Anderson and Graeme Swann from the five ODIs and three T20s against Australia to prepare them for 2015 World Cup.

Head coach Andy Flower said the decision was taken to allow them to prepare for England`s busy playing schedule over the next 15 months, Sport24 reports.

Test captain Alastair Cook will lead the 16-man squad in the one-day international series, while paceman Stuart Broad will be in charge of the 15-man Twenty20 squad, the report added.
