Leicestershire’s James Taylor may get England call up

London: England is likely to call Leicestershire batsman James Taylor into the national squad as a replacement for injured Jonathan Trott.

Taylor is likely to be included in England`s 13-man Test squad for the first time when it is announced, according to a daily.

Taylor, 21, made 76 and 98 while captaining England Lions in their drawn match against Sri Lanka A, which finished on Staurday.

The Leicestershire man has been rated as one of the country`s most promising batsmen for the past couple of years.

England Squad (likely): Strauss (capt), Cook, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Morgan, Taylor, Prior (wkt), Bresnan, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Tremlett.
