Madan Lal interested in coaching India

Bhopal: Former coach of the Indian cricket team, Madan Lal has said that if the BCCI offered him the job again he would ponder over it.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Cricket Talent Search programme at the Old Campion Ground here last evening, the former test player also said right now he was not in the race for the job, but if the offer was made to him, he would
consider it.

He said Indian cricket captain M S Dhoni and his entire team deserved all praise for leading India to victory in the world cup final.

The former test player was however critical of the BCCI for not having invited players of the 1983 World Cup Indianteam to see the finals, played at Wankhede in Mumbai.

"Bollywood personalities were present for the match but nobody cared about the winners of the 1983 World Cup," he said.
