Mumbai: Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni whose life story will come on the big screen soon through the biopic 'M S Dhoni: The Untold Story' finds film promotions tough and is amazed the way film stars promote their films.

He today launched the trailer of much-awaited film in there cities - Jalandhar, Delhi and Mumbai.

"I am happy being part of the promotions. I had the time so I did it (promotions). It is tough...The process is tough. Hats off to actors for promoting the movie... Have to appreciate actors as they do it on regular basis. They do it 15 days before the release of their film," Dhoni told reporters here at the trailer launch of the biopic.

"Also they (actors) have to understand the character play it and promote it," he said.

Dhoni heaped praises on the city of Mumbai and the people here who came to see and greet the Indian cricket team after their win in 2007 T20 World Cup despite heavy rains.

The event started after a three-hour delay in Mumbai.

Dhoni interacted with the fans who were waiting to catch a glimpse him but did not talk to the media.

Following his exit from the press conference here, several media persons walked away as a mark of protest.

During the question and answer session with the director Neeraj Pandey, actor Sushant Singh Rajput and producers, few journalists even expressed their displeasure over not having media interaction with Dhoni.
