New Delhi: If legendary spinner Anil Kumble's humble project bears fruit, then India can once again hope for producing top tweakers soon. In a bid to unearth and groom future spinners, Kumble has started an unique talent hunt in home state, Karnataka.

The response so far has been massive. As many as 2800 young spinners have registered to be part of the talent hunt. The former India captain acknowledged the reception via the micro-blogging website Twitter.

The campaign, aptly named Spin Stars is being conducted under the aegis of TENVIC, a sports training and consulting company co-founded by former Indian spin legend. The initiative was launched on November 28, with a stated goal to find unique talent for aspiring spin bowlers in the 10-19 age group across Karnataka.

Winners of the contest are expected to received monetary rewards besides a grooming session with the legend himself.
