New Delhi: Indian-born Munish Ansari became an overnight hero for Oman as the speedster helped the nation to create history by qualify for the World Twenty20, scheduled to take place next year.

'Sehore Express' from Madhya Pradesh played a crucial role against Namibia by picking up a three-wicket haul to restrict the opponent to mere 148 runs. In reply, Oman achieved the target successfully, with one over to spare, and qualified for the World T20.

Ironically, Ansari's was forced to play for Oman to pursue his dream of playing professional cricket after Madhya Pradesh team didn't select him, and he left the country six years back.

According to few media reports, the fast bowler is capable of hitting 145 kmph mark consistently but was somehow unlucky to represent his state.

There are many cricket tales related to the 33-year-old fast bowler. If reports are to be believed then he once surprised Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in the nets with his sheer pace and even dismissed him and former England all-round Andrew Flintoff.

With the help of his pace, he once even broke Harbhajan Singh's bat as well.
