New Delhi: The game of cricket is going places and the newest frontier is China. The country is known to master anything when it puts its determination on track and no stones are being left unturned ahead of the Asian Games 2010 where cricket would be a competitive sport with medals attached to it.

As China’s ‘Ambassador of Cricket’, Pakistan legend Javed Miandad said that it would be not long before the country makes its presence felt. “It is a known fact that when they decide to do something, they go all out. Same is the case with cricket,” Miandad told a leading newspaper.

Many of the countries in the cricket event have been training hard for Guangzhou, dedicating themselves to representing their countries to the best of their ability. “It’s the chance of a medal in our home country. It is for China and everyone who has made us succeed,” says women’s captain Wang Meng.

China and Malaysia’s Women open the Asian Games cricket on November 12 at Guangdongg International Cricket Stadium.
