Mohsin Khan appointed interim coach for Pak series against Sri Lanka

Karachi: Pakistan’s chief selector Mohsin Hasan Khan has been appointed as the interim coach of the national team for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates.

“Mr. Mohsin Hasan Khan will be coach for the Pakistan V Sri Lanka series only. PCB is in the process of appointing a full time coach,” the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement.

The board announced the team management for the Pakistan versus Sri Lanka series in the UAE and Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh.

As Naveed Akram Cheema will be performing Hajj this year, he will assume the charge of Manager, starting with the Pakistan versus Sri Lanka ODI series (November 11) and will continue as Manager for Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh, the statement said.

Colonel (retired) Naushad Ali will take charge as Associate Manager for both Pakistan versus Sri Lanka series and the Bangladesh tour.

While Cheema will be performing Hajj, Colonel Naushad will assume the charge of Pakistan Team Manager for the three-Test series against Sri Lanka, it added.
