London: Eoin Morgan has hailed the Indian Premier League`s influence on his career as he prepares to face India in next week`s first Test.
Morgan returned from the Twenty20 tournament in May to smack 193 for England Lions against Sri Lanka and earn himself a Test place.
The Sun quoted the Irishman, 24, as saying: "I learned a lot from the IPL. When I came back, I found I was striking the ball better. I learned from playing alongside guys such as Rahul Dravid. Watching him train and his ethos of hitting thousands of balls was very interesting.”
