Saqlain Mushtaq said his pairing with Murali is getting a lot of positive reactions from the fans.
New Delhi: Former Pakistan cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq, who is plying his trade for Gemini Arabians, seems quite excited to bowl alongside Sri Lanka's legendary off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in the Masters Champions League T20.
The 40-year-old Pakistani, who is known for his Doosra, said that his pairing with Murali is getting a lot of positive reactions from the fans and even went on to claim that it as a dream bowling partnership.
"We are the new spin twins. We are getting a lot of positive reactions from the fans. People are enjoying watching me and Murali operate in tandem. It's a dream bowling partnership. Like batting, bowling also needs partnerships. I have had successful partnership with Mushy (Mushtaq Ahmed) and (Shahid) Afridi when I played for Pakistan," Saqlain told PTI.
The spin wizards are also sharing some of the tricks from each other in the T20 League as Saqlain added: "The best part is that we are both sharing our tricks with each other. My job is to keep pressure on the batsmen with restrictive line while Murali will be the one who will go for wickets."
